The Metal Shop has all the tools necessary to form, shape, cut, weld and machine pieces of metal. These tools can make satellite parts, car parts, robots, geodesic domes and organic metal sculptures. SoiLAB also provides precision fixturing tables and measurement tools.

Through the use of the metal lathe or milling machine members can cut and manipulate metals into the required component shapes. They can then move into the welding section where they can weld metal bars or tubes together using the TIG or MIG welders. Anyone can learn to weld! An induction course from our skilled instructors means you can get started within 2 hours.
